NIN was great last night. I was having a blast. I'm so glad I went. The last time i saw them play, Marilyn Manson opened for them and the Jim Rose Circus, so it's been a while. On another note, this was the first time that I also made it throught one of their shows to watch the last song. I've seen them 3 times, but this is the first time that I haven't passed out or ended up puking, Ahh, what a decade will do for you.
On another note, i had the pleasure of not only seeing the show, but 3 feet from me the whole time was David Bowie. When they started playing "Hurt" he started singing along. It was the greatest karaoke thing i've ever seen. Especially when Bowie was heckling him in one song and waving his cell phone like a lighter. It's all part of the Velvet Goldmine baby.
The Dresden Dolls were pretty good. They didn't have the ferocity of the acts that i've seen with NIN before, but they looked great in the lights and that guy is a really good drummer. I'm sure that playing these big stages has been a neat experience for them and I'm envious of the great little love story it is. "hey baby, let's play together and travel the world."

Read a book about the Jim Rose Circus a few months ago. It was pretty neat.
