Post day game wrap up. Last night's show was good. Our drummer showed up liquored to the fucking teeth and when he does that, he has a tendancy to play fast. He's a fun drunk.
I probably shouldn't write this here but fuck it. Sometimes, it's great to be hammered when the lights come up cause you get to see who you sucked shit in front of. Last night was one of those nights. One of my idols was in the audience. Maybe someday, I won't be to chicken shit to talk to them more than 30 seconds.
As I didn't get ridiculously drunk like i had planned to, i'm going to attempt kung fu today. fuck.
Now is the post kung fu break down. I decided to make a wonderful day of it and go to Virgin and get a DVD and a CD for my mom that she had requested. Okay. I hate that place now. It's crap. I'm ordering everything off of amazon now.
My beef with it is that it's unorganized and you can't pinpoint what you want to find if it's not a mainstream thing. I was very very close to getting a copy of Blade Runner there cause it was on sale, but then after searching for Hero for what i realized later was 30 minutes, it dawned on me that it might be one of those things that exhibit their problem. It's hard to classify.
Hero could either be an international film (China), Action, Martial Arts, Drama, Independent, or Great Director. There in lies the problem as you cannot classify it well, but if it coud be at least miscatagoriezed under one thing you could possibly find it through the use of the instore kiosk. There is no crum trail on it to show how they have it listed in their database. This makes it impossible to at least find where they miscatagorised it and actually buy the fucking thing.
So I should have waited for a half an hour to talk to one of those people behind the counter to find it. Sadly their kiosk, which could quiet easily done probably this job had it listed where the fuck it was in the first place.
Next I went onto an even harder challenge than to find a Oscar winning fucking movie in movie store. I went to find my mom a copy of Outback "Dance the Devil Away." Its a true world music title. The players come from 4 different continents and combine to make one album. They have a didgeridoo player there, so there's part of the reason that i wanted to give it to her.
Same story. they have no idea about how to classify it. I could listen to it on the kiosk, but finding it in the store was actually going to be impossible.
two clicks and 7 characters later. It's on route to being shipped to my mom.
hail amazon the new victor.

im sorry i missed the show. but honestly, family dinners are so much more fun than going out drinking and listening to music.
