I've decided to fly to MI instead of drive. The original plan was Dad was going to fly down and we were going to drive back up and then Mom was going to drive down with me in January and stay a week and fly back up. The reasons I was going to do that is that I was going to take Dexter and also I could load up the car with anything I wanted to take up or down and finally, I would have a car while I was there. I decided not to take Dexter and ship my gifts and such since it will be cheaper and easier. My flight is $174 roundtrip and so is Mom's and it may cost $100 for shipping (if that). If I would have drove it would have been at least $400 for gas, at least $200 for hotels, $300 for mom and dad's tickets and 3000 miles of wear and tear on Scott's car (since my cars a lease I wouldn't be able to make up 3000 miles by next November). So, $450 instead of nearly $1000.

I feel better about it too. I also don't have to have the guest room ready for Dad by Monday. And I have 2 more days here. I can spend our 2 year anniversary with Scott on 12/18/07. I am going to pack my clothes in one suitcase and pack as many gifts as I can in another suitcase and ship the rest. I'm leaving on 12/20.

Last night we blew the diet at Carabba's. I didn't order horrible though. I had grilled salmon with mashed potatoes. Today Scott's at NICET testing that he's sure he will fail. I am wrapping presents, working on X-mas cards, doing laundry, dishes, etc. I also have to go to the surf shop on US1 in Delray to get Woody a t-shirt. I've been up since 6am. I cooked Scott breakfast and he left for testing at 7am.
