The Proposal
Scott called me up at work on Wednesday and said, "We should go geocaching. It's such a beautiful day and we need to get outside." I agreed and told him to find a cache and I would be home soon. After work, we went to try to find a cache in Riverbends Park and we ended up 100 feet away according to the GPS, but there was a ravine and we couldn't get to it. So, he said that we should just go on to the next one, but I was being stubborn and insisted on trying a different route. After awhile, he started to get a bit frustrated and the sun was starting to set, so he insisted we go to the next one, and that it would be an easier one. So, we went to Holland Ponds, one of our favorite places. I was following the GPS and we got to this platform overlooking one of the ponds. It's really pretty there. Suddenly, he turned around and got down on one knee and told me this:
"The last year and a half has been the happiest time of my life. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you (and he lost his voice)...Will you marry me?"
I started to cry and he put the ring on my finger and I forgot to say yes. Then when I regained my composure, I asked him to do it again and he did and I said, "Yes!"
