Time seems to have slipped away these past few days!

Ok, what a weekend. My dance piece.I'll write about it now that I'm not slightly inebbreiated.
It went well and it was such a relief to have it finished. My committee head was in the audience and I finally tapped into her. I think she finally has a small understanding of what I do now. This is my art, this is what I do, you have to give me some credit where credit is due. I have worked that hard.
Something interesting happened. My mentor/professor was in the audience. We had a falling out last year. It was a very difficult time and there were mistakes on both sides. Our relationship has been careful and tentative ever since. However, today I received an email from her telling me she was very proud and very impressed. She invited me over for tea. That is quite profound coming from her. Things have been very strained.
I gave flowers to my mom at the post-show chat. She also told me how proud she was of me. I love her so much. Aleks ran up and jumped in my arms afterwards. My friend C___, said he was so proud of me. He was pulling boss all night and telling my mom he wanted to fire someone. Nice to know I have heavyweights looking out for me.
I'm going to take a break now and do some things around the house. The dood and I are heading to the lake tomorrow to lay around.

Clarification about yesterday's post.
So I head over to my friend J____'s house and we drink coffee and kalhua all afternoon, watch Kill Bill and then I throw a pass at him. I don't think either of us is ready for anything especially not me in the end. I made him go to bed (he had no sleep) and I tucked him him and said goodbye. I need to keep these friends as strictly friends and not drink to keep the sillies under control. Not that sillies aren't fun once and awhile but for my mindset right now, friends are friends, thats it.

Last night I went over to check out my friends' new house and ended up drinking wine and talking politics and technology until 4 am. Good stuff! Nice to have some free time to do that. People just keep feeding me booze. Crazy!
Finally got the lawn mowed and the plants watered....voted today.....the conservatives won the riding out here. Very scary. I can see me having to move after my contract is over. The Conservative gov't is not known for supporting the arts or education or many other things for that matter.....disturbing. Let's hope that the NDP can give them a run for their money.
