I am so angry and confused right now 
And it's all to do with this bloody job interview.
I wish they had just said to me "we're sorry you didn't get the job, if you want to go through your interview with us then you can."
They did say that but then when i get to work the next day i'm told that the two managers who were interviewing had picked me but their desicion had been over ruled by their manager! WTF!!!
(This did make me slightly happy to know that i was first choice hehe)
The two reasons she over ruled them were:
1) All the VM team had expressed how much they wanted me part of their team and she believed i had been given an unfair advantage
2) She used to work with the girl she decided should have the job
Anyway, the VM manager told me today i could have a temporary christmas vacancy if my manager agrees to put my vacancy in as temporary, so that if there isn't a permanent VM vacancy after christmas i could go back to my old contract.
I bought this up with my manager and lets just say she wasn't happy but she would speak to her manager and get back to me.
Half an hour later i am called upstairs to a meeting with my manager and her manager and they tell me that if i want to go for the VM temporary vacancy i wouldn't be going back to my old contract, i could end up anywhere and even working nights again, which i am not doing.
Then they go on to tell me how if i want to work my way up the ladder i would be better off on the shop floor and they have offered me a whole department!
I then leave this meeting and go back to the sales floor, only to be greeted by the VM manager again, i explained to her what is said and she says to me i need to speak to the lady that deals with the contracts and tell her i'm not being supported!
ARGHHHHH
This just can't go on anymore!
I desperately want to be a visual merchandiser just so i can be more creative and active, why couldn't they have just given me the job?
I can't take the christmas vacancy in the hope that it might become permanent but do i want the responsibilities of a department when i know that as soon as a VM job does come up i will go for that
I'm so confused
