Hey Bitches!
So, I am not gay, despite silly high school rumors. (Seriously a non lesbian can shave her head, you small town dumb fucks.) Not that I haven't kissed some pretty girls...liaden, secretbluegirl but I digress. Any way, I am not gay, but I do like gay people and I do have friends that are gay. My husband and I are pretty liberal and so when we got Sirius Satellite Radio, we liked to listen to Michelangelo Signorile. He's very politcal and his view's are akin to ours. Well then, after The Gay News, it turns 6 p.m. and you hear 'Your safety words are Derek & Romaine' and I'm like what the hell is this? Evan, my husband, says it's a funny call in show. I gave a listen. He was right. Then he would say he's the husband and he's always right.
Derek and Romaine are the gay best friends you never knew you had and have never met. They help you with your gay problems (you might not be gay but your problem sure is!) and have all sorts of fun guests, tell you all about neat lil gadgets, and talk about important things...like what's on tv. I seriously want a Clarasonic Skin Care System since all their guests talk so highly about Derek's beautiful skin. I'm pretty sure if I got it though, it would go in my pile of things I rarely use. Although there is a downside to the show. I feel kind of bad myself that I own a slipcover. I'm my defense, it's on the couch on the sunporch. It's not like it's in the livingroom and it's much better than looking at that ugly thing underneath the slipcover. I still feel like I'm a big faux pas. I'm also jealous of Derek's TV. 65 inches? dang. Our 50 inch is so inferior.
But the good news is that if you were on the other end of the satellite radio spectrum, OutQ Radio is now available on XM as well as Sirius. It's channel 98 on XM and 109 on Sirius. Now if you don't have satellite radio, you should get it. You really should. It's not THAT expensive and it's so much better than terrestial radio. They actually play music you want to hear and there are shows you want to listen to, such as Derek and Romaine. I have the external system for my car, which I then bring in my house and listen to on my boombox. I love that I can take it anywhere and listen to it.
In summation, if you're gay you should listen to Derek & Romaine. If you're straight with gay friends and/or like gay people, you should listen to Derek & Romaine. If you're straight and you don't have gay friends and/or don't like gay people, for shame and you should learn some tolerance! That aside, Derek & Romaine is a fun time had by all...ok by most...and you also should give a listen. You might just like it, as I did.
In other news, you should go see Coraline because it's awesome. Evan and I saw it in 3D You should also read Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book. I highly recommend it. I just bought the book Coraline because I liked the movie and The Graveyard Book so much. That and Sandman is one of my favorite comic series ever. Evan had to get a new phone because his Nokia broke. He got the awesome T-Mobile G1. Now he'll be on the interweb whereever he goes. Maybe now with a full keyboard, I'll get more text messages.
Nothing important is coming up. We're going to see eye8th3worm's band 4 for Smoking on the 21st. Bands and bowling. Time to break out the tiger striped ball once again!
