Yesterday was a good day off. I went with Evan to Grand Haven. He worked for a bit while I read. After that, we met up with Les and Mikael, Michiganders who moved to Portland, Oregon. They've been in town doing family things. It was so nice to see them, catch up, and learn they are doing well. We ate at this lovely place called Deelite. I had an awesome shrimp quesadilla. Mikael and I ordered Arnold Palmers to drink and the waitress kinda flipped out because she thought we ordered alcohol. Silly girl.
After that, we got ice cream and took a long walk to a long pier. After 2 years of living here, I've finally seen Lake Michigan. About time, right? We walked back and said our goodbyes. Evan and I looked at a few shops, then headed home.
We ate a small dinner, watched World Series of Pop Culture, yadda yadda yadda, and went to bed.
It was a good time had by all....even if I did get sunburn!

Les and Mikael still going to be in town on Tuesday? Any chance of them joining us for bowling? I've never met her and it's been a long time since I have seen him.

Oh, there will be plenty of time for fun. Mainly I'm shooting segments for AOTS, though, I'm guessing most won't air. I do make a point to take a day off to hang poolside at the Marriott next to the con. The pool there is like the lagoon from Gilligan's Island and their margaritas are amazing!
