what week it has been. slowly breaking back into the work thing. getting some new experience. and... might eve get some brochures in next week at a day job.
other things have been interesting as well. I went to a book club with a friend. the group meets every now and then, and they are all a bunch of book enthusiaists in one way or another. Mostly by trade; designers, book binders, printers, collecters, sellers etc. the man who hosted has an amazing home in the area of town plagued by mansions. yet, his home was comfy, a little worn, yet amazing and grand. books everywhere. old books and even older books. collections worth more money than my bank account will ever hold. a great bunch of people, far from stuffy and all a bit kooky in their own way. I talked to many people and had a great time. I drank wine and had some of the most amazing sushi I have ever had. yum.
so, that said it put me in the book mood. I went home Friday after another temp job and sat down, picked up one of my "old" books from my miniscule collection. "My Life" by Isadora Duncan. I really do need to research it, it was published in 1927, less that six months after she died a tragic death. I am thinking it a rare piece. as the foreword claims that it had been published as she wrote it. (unedited)
After I got done fondling my book I set it down and proceeded to watch "The Ninth Gate" only to discover that this move is all filled with books and book collectors and such... then, to top it off, one of the main characters has the same name as me.
do you thinkg the gods are trying to tell me something.
I think I will have to take a trip to my favorite used book store next week on a day when I am not working. the men who own the place live upstairs... and they always have apple cider and sometimes even cookies. I think a good place for me to loiter and chat wirh more book folks.
today I worked a small shift at the center and off to a b-day party filled with friends that I suddenly realized I have not seen in maybe more than a year. I am BAD! SHAME. *I here do vow I will be better at keeping in touch with those that mean much to me*
well.... I think I will surf the net and see if I can find any info about the publishers of my book.
*smooches*

The book thing is so much fun. You should consider it for a side job. You'd love it!!!
