So this week has flown past. I feel I have meade zero progress on the job front. I know that is not the case... If you want to be technical, as each day passes I am one day closer to getting a new job.
Today I am working on logos. Fun stuff. not. Ok. I don't mind, but they are perhaps one of the biggest challenges in the design field, everything else is cake.
I went for a walk around the lake today. I am trying to get an hour of exercise in every day. one lap around the lake pretty much covers it. Soon I will be out on my bike, then I will do four laps in an hour. my knee is ok today. no serious pain. I have taken no meds for it. We'll see how it fares tomorrow. I guess I can pretty much can the idea of running/jogging. And will consider it a good thing that I did no down hill skiing this year.
I would really like to kick back and knit... or read, but I have too much to do that I slacked off on this week. I also need to refresh myself on a publishing program tonight as I will be testing on it tomorrow.
I think I need a haircut and color as well. I will probably find a cheap place to just trim my hair and do the color myself.
ugh... I just realized that I need to work on the print version of my resume too. ok, I think I need another cup of coffee!
Oh, and fairietint... the scone recipe:
They were called OATMEAL-CURRENT SCONES (my alterations in parins)
1/4 cup of orange juice or Grand Marnier (i used orange liqueor, I will add some orange zest next time too)
1/4 cup of water
1 cup currents (i used craisens)
2 cups rolled oats
3 cups unbleached white flour (i used 2 cups regular flour/1 cup ground wheat flour)
1 tsp of salt
2 tsps of baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3 tbsns sugar
1 cup butter (2 sticks) (i used margarine) cut into pieces
1 1/3 cup of milk (i used soy milk)
in sauce pan simmer water, liquor and craisens for one minnute and let stand.
Combine oats, flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, sugar. slowly add butter till well mixed, says is should be like sand (I mixed by hand so it was not so finely ground like that recipe says)
add milk and berry mix. I usually just make glops on the pan... it says to roll them out and cut into 16 squares or triangles (right)
bake at 375 for about 15 minutes (just browning)
Enjoy!
