I had posted in the past about being prepped for a sleeve gastrectomy, which will change the way I look quite drastically because it is a weight-loss surgery. This was a really tough decision, not just because of how I feel about being and supporting plus size people, but also because I have had some health concerns, my family is young, and I do have a lot of responsibility at home, such as my young children, our chicken/duck farm, as well as university classes.
Monday I went in for the sleeve gastrectomy, and they fixed a hernia as well. After a three hour surgery, I woke up in quite a bit of pain, and floated through the next two days drinking water. The third day I felt great, because I had gotten in some protein shakes.
I'm home now, currently working at my laptop doing some school work. Thankfully this is only the second week, and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm getting enough protein and water in, and soon I'll start having soup and yogurt. I tried yogurt last night but it sat pretty heavy. I still have to learn what the signals are that my stomach sends to say its full, because now that it has changed, I don't know them anymore lol.
I am trying not to post too much on my personal facebook, and I'm fairly terrible at posting here and on instagram, but always feel free to send me a message, I usually get email notifications pretty quickly. Overall, feeling pretty good, so once the bandaids are off I can start posting some comparisons. The pre-surgery optifast diet, I lost a little more than twenty lbs in under a month. Already, I can feel my nightgowns fitting differently and my pants. This is a positive. The moment I get the ok to return to the gym, you can bet your ass I'll be taking it easy but getting right back in there. :)
