Oh, to be in ... like?
Yes, sports fans, it means just what it means, but let me clarify.
A funny thing happened on the way to wherever I was going with this. We both came to the realization that we went way too far too soon. Normal people don't go from the first date to leaving a spare toothbrush at the other's apartment in the span of less than two weeks. (Maybe a good percentage of people in here might, but that's beside the point) I'm the type of person to really jump into a relationship too quickly and put all my eggs in one basket as soon as I know I've got a steady emotional tennis game (and a steady piece of ass).
Luckily, we caught ourselves in time.
Last night we had a long discussion about what went wrong with us and why. We also decided that even though this was too good of a thing to give up, this was also too big of a thing to hold onto for now. So, we stepped back a bit. Granted, this means no nookie for some time, and no random midnight debauchery, but hey, the important part is I have my friend back. We can laugh and love and share again like normal people.
And for all you Angelenos out there, I am fishing for suggestions!! One of my dearest friends is coming to visit this weekend. We're going to Coachella on Sunday, but that means we still have Thursday night, Friday, Saturday, and Monday to kill before she leaves. Any suggestions on something fun to do? Oh, and one catch: she's only 19, so most bars and clubs are out.

samaloda:
Is this her first time in Los Angeles? Or has she done the tourist "thing" before...?
samaloda:
What did you and your friend do this weekend? ...and how was Coachella?!
