About time for a new entry.
Kelli and I just got back from a week-long trip to New York City, where we visited both her friends and mine. We also found our way to some fantastic museums, including the new Nomadic Museum on Pier 54, MOMA, and the Museum of Natural History. We also stopped in Pittsburgh on the way back to visit IKEA and the Adny Warhol Museum. I highly recommend both to all, particularly the former. IKEA was quite an experience; I think I could have spent my entire annual salary in the few hours we were there.
And now it's time to get back in the swing of things. School starts back up on Monday, but there's only one quarter left. It's hard to believe, but in only a few months I will have been teaching at the same school for three years. That's quite a lot of longevity considering I only spent three years at Wesleyan. If I come back for a fourth year I'll have made the biggest time commitment since my first 18 years of life. Rad.
However, with any luck, I won't be making the choice to come back for a fourth year. I'm waiting to hear back from a school in Seattle to which I sent my resume last week. Man, I hope they give me a chance with an interview. I bet I can nail it and be out in Seattle next year. That would be sweet.
Enough blathering on. Hope all of you are well and enjoying what I hope is increasingly warm weather. Here in the Ohio River Valley, we're getting our tissue boxes and antihistamines ready.
