It's been a long time since my last update, and I can attribute that only to my frequent pot-smoking and excessive amount of grading I've had to do. And yet here it is, 1:38 in the morning, and I've got to be at school tomorrow for a 9:15 exam, and I'm stoned again. Love it.

So I'm thinking that this coming year will be my last at my current school. I don't know if it's the right place I want to be professionally. I've thought about going back to school, maybe for a Ph.D., but I'm not sure in what specific academic area. I was thinking maybe public policy and leadership, and then I thought about a straight English Ph.D., and now I'm leaning more toward American Studies. Anyone have any suggestions or any experiences in those fields?

Other than that, I haven't had too much on my mind. The missus and I celebrated our one-year anniversary yesterday, and that's pretty cool. I'm beginning to think very seriously about what it would be like to spend the rest of my life with her. She makes me so insanely happy, and when I'm next to her there's no place I'd rather be. I guess I'm secretly a hopeless romantic at heart, but everything feels so good.

And with that I'm off to bed. Hello again, SG friends; it's been too long!
