A lot can change in a week.
Due to a number of circumstances, I decided to stay with Game Crazy. In the end, it seemed like the better option. The other job represented a chance to try something new, but ultimately I was never sold on the idea that I would enjoy sitting in a cubicle talking through a headset nearly as much as I enjoy the face-to-face interaction of working retail. Plus, I've got three years under my belt at Game Crazy - leaving would mean giving up my benefits and my vacation time, as well as a solid foundation for what could become a long-term career. It just made more sense to stay.
However, deciding to stay so close to the end of my notice meant throwing some things into turmoil for our district. Someone else was bumped out of their newly-acquired position in order to make room for me to still have a store, and I feel absolutely fucking terrible about it. I wish things had gone differently, but there really weren't any other feasible options, and Shawn did what he thought was best for all parties involved. Doesn't change the fact that I still feel bad for inadvertently dicking someone over.
I'm still working out every day, but I didn't actually lose any weight last week, probably due to the fact that I went out drinking with the Thursday crew, and ate a few meals which were most certainly NOT on the diet. I was still able to maintain the previous weight loss - just didn't have anything new to add to it. It'll be somewhat difficult to keep up this week, too, since being in Indiana means I won't have a workout room at my immediate disposal. However, a new LA Fitness just opened about ten minutes from my hotel, and I'm pretty sure my membership is valid in other states. Let's hope so.
Speaking of the trip, I'll be arriving in Indiana on Wednesday. Dinner with Mom and James that evening, and karaoke late that night at Mugshots. Thursday was supposed to be the first of the two Margot shows, but that one has sold out, so I'm currently trying to figure out a way to still attend. Saturday Bart will be coming up for Poker Night. Not sure yet what the rest of the trip entails, but rest assured that I will do my best to make time for everyone before I leave on Sunday.
Monday morning, I'll be reporting for duty at the very first store I ever ran for the company, and bringing Steam Hammer with me. Original store, original team member? Should be interesting.

I feel your pain on bumping someone's job...I just got hired at Hollywood Video a couple weeks ago..and I guess they are cleaning house? One of the Shft Lead's hates me simply because of who I replaced....I feel awful about it
EDIT: About the GoDaddy.com job, I think you made a good move there....My husband worked for them for a couple of years before he was "let go" for reasons that still light a fire under his ass....last I checked most people who started there didn't last more than a few years anyway....
