NOTE: THIS ENTRY IS FROM LAST NIGHT. FORGOT TO CROSS-POST.
Christ. How did i manage to go an entire week without updating? I must be slipping in my old age.
"Pirates 3" was all sorts of badass. A word to the "Spiderman" and "X-Men" franchises - THIS is how you cap off a trilogy. Tons of action, top-notch performances, further character development, and most importantly - EVERY major plot thread finding a resolution.
Other than multiple viewings of swashbuckling goodness, the past week has been fairly uneventful - lots of working and not much else. I'm leaving for Arizona in a week for a well-deserved and much-needed vacation, so i need to make sure that everything at the store is running smoothly to minimize the negative effects of me being MIA for a week.
I actually had an honest-to-goodness day off today, which i used to get my license plates renewed and look for an apartment. As far as places to live, it seems like Avon might be a better option than Plainfield. We'll see.
Went out to BW3 tonight with Dave, Andy, Nate, and Plum. Nate was much more well-behaved than the last time we took him out. He did have an interesting exchange with a waitress that went something like...
Nate: Have you ever killed any homeless people?
Waitress: No... why?
Nate: I was just curious.
Waitress Oh.
Nate: I'm taking a survey.
Waitress: Well, i'm about to kill my teenager.
Nate: Is she homeless?
Waitress: She's about to be.
Nate: I've got a cellar with a dirt floor.
Good ol' Nate. You can always count on him to frighten and offend normal people.
I came back to Andy's so that i could crash on his couch tonight, and discovered that there was a half-full bottle of Kahlua that i had left here some months ago. It seemed to go quite nicely with the half-full bottle of vodka on the kitchen counter. But alas - no milk. A quick trip to the gas station solved that problem, and soon Andy, Gina and myself were sitting around the living room, drinking White Russians and talking about the sheer greatness of Mike Patton.
The two lovers headed off to bed shortly after, and here i sit, working on my third drink and finding it more and more difficult to spell things correctly. I was contemplating throwing in a DVD and making use of Plum's enormous TV, but as i wrap up this entry, sleep seems like a much more viable option.
Arizona in 7 days. Dig it.

soft_shoulder:
I'm very amused by the waitress conversation.
mistermainevent:
That was tame by Nate's standards. Very tame.
