I love my job. It's my dream job. But I had to move to a strange place in the middle of a desert to obtain it. Right now, work is waning and our program is slowly trending toward dormancy. The last year or so, I was feeling quite homesick, having ended a long-term long-distance relationship and not having many friends in the midst of the desert. And so I started applying to jobs in my career field closer to where I grew up. Well, I found a new job less than an hour away from where I grew up! In one month, I get to return home!
