Hello SG Community. My name is Mister David, but you can just call me David or Dave. Since I am now part of an active, vibrant community, I thought I should take a few moments and introduce myself. So, just to outline this blog, my main interests are sexuality, technology & education (these go hand in hand for me), coffee, gaming, wrestling, and philosophy/theology.
I think most, if not all of us are here because of a shared interest in sexuality, so I thought I would start there. I should start by saying that I am a virgin even though I am one year removed from the big 4-0. The closest I ever came to going all the way was with a girlfriend I had right after finishing high school. She and I used to explore each others' bodies, but we never actually engaged in sex. She thought I was too nice a guy to violate and I was too shy to ask. After that, life just kept getting in the way. I had a couple of girlfriends, but never anything serious (except for a brief 2-month engagement). I am a pornography junkie. I have been ever since I found my dad's secret stash as a young teenager and later discovered late night movie channel adult series/films. Once the World Wide Web became a thing, I started discovering pornography membership sites. The last few years I started getting into camming, but had to quit that because of how expensive it was. I genuinely want to find a woman to connect with, both intellectually and intimately. I want to feel a woman's warmth and lose myself in a night of passion.
I absolutely love computer technology. Since my early teen years, I envisioned pursuing a career in computer programming. Throughout my adult life, I have made several attempts to attend and finish college/university. As a teen/young adult, I did not take my studies seriously and ended up dropping out. As a young adult in his 20s, I would take a few classes here and there, but it never amounted to much. Finally in my 30s, I finished my Associates' degree, but due to financial reasons could not go further. Around this time, I started becoming close friends with an electrical engineer who would become like a father to me. I found his work fascinating and he supported me returning to college to finish up. Finally, at the age of 38, I decided to fully commit myself to a full-time computer engineering curriculum. I am now 39 years old and in my senior year! I'd love to find someone on here to talk silicon with.
To support myself, I am a part-time coffee barista. I've always enjoyed coffee and even wanted to open up my own cafe some time in my younger years. I've been crafting lattes, mochas, etc. for 17 years now. People actually come to me specifically because I'm the only one who can make their drink right (although I simply follow the recipes). Not much else to say here.
One thing I love discussing with people is worldviews & theology. I have a friend who is a geologist and Christian theologian. He uses rocks and fossils to demonstrate that there is more than one way to view our world. He doesn't necessarily push Christianity, but he does challenge people to not blindly accept an interpretation of the evidence just because people call it "science". He can, quite succinctly, demonstrate how the very shape of our world can be explained by a global catastrophic flood (think Genesis) and that such a catastrophic event could help explain how & why the universe is only 6000 years old, in line with the timeline of the Bible. The idea that the age of the earth is not "set in stone" is fascinating to me. The idea that scientists use a particular worldview to come to their conclusions instead of solid scientific evidence is also fascinating. You may completely disagree, and that's cool, but this friend has taught me the value of keeping an open mind.
I used to be a mega gamer in my youth. I had over 100 NES titles, 50 SNES titles. I used to love immersing myself in role-playing games. These days, I don't have much time for games, but I do play the occasional Skyrim. I am also a huge wrestling fan. I am more into the wrestling community (community seems to be a common theme in my life), but I also enjoy the athleticism and the pageantry of the wrestling itself. I like WWE (mostly the NXT brand) and some of the indies as well: Defiant based in Newcastle, England and DefyNW based out of Seattle & Portland are some of my favorites. My favorite wrestler of all time is probably Kurt Angle and for current active wrestlers, I am a fan of AJ Styles, all of Undisputed Era (especially Kyle O'Reilly), Kanji Duku, and Dakota Kai. I'll be a fan of Sai Rouse once she starts wrestling too.
So, that's me in a nutshell. I'm sure there are many things I have not covered, so feel free to introduce yourself and ask questions. Thanks for reading and I wish you all a great day!
