As if I hadn't had enough things to do...
While on business travel, I had to hunt down pools to train in...Texas was the worst as the water felt piss warm even indoors...after six months of numerous "living distractions" September 10th finally arrived...at 4 a.m in the morning?!
Cool and a little foggy my lovelies rose early to support my self abuse...the best audience ever. As you can see...Alcatraz in the BG. The Ferry will drop us out just a ways from the shore off the island and we swim back to SF Pier 41...or something like that...need coffee!
Notice the pot belly and KT Tape...age, lazy diet, too much cardio and a pulled rotor cuff on my right shoulder...too late for second thoughts and too expensive to not get my friggen T-shirt!!!
The best thing ever is knowing my little girl is watching me from start to finish...leading by example and impressing this person is the highlight of my life!
The event drew over 600 swimmers...a school of yellow caps. For a moment I actually felt pure joy between chilled whimpers and effort laden grunts.
Cold, wet and medal'd...it doesn't get any better!!
Victory splash with a future Open Water athlete and my favorite girl in the world!!
Showing off my event shirt on a run with my furry mistress a few days after...needless to say I pulled my IT bands that day and had to take a few days off...age sucks sometimes.
Until the next adventure...Ciao SG!!
