finally. the end of summer. A-Kon 15 was insane. my first day of work was the first day of the kon. this year i put together cosplays for Rock Lee from Naruto and Seiji from Guitar Wolf. i went totally unrecognized as Seiji, had i known they were showing Wild Zero the night i got there i would have gotten some damn recognition. i'd rather not mention the attention i got as rock lee. all summer i've been working that orientation leader position at collin county and i just got my pay for it last week. it was short of what i expected but, whatever. i was planning to pick up a new guitar but instead i've got it on layaway now.
its good to feel the weather start cooling off, the time has come to bring out my old coats and jackets even though i'll most likely be wearing the jeather jacket i stole. lately life's just been different and i haven;t really been able to place exactly why. now i know. the answer is Rock'n'Roll. all summer i've been collecting Guitar Wolf tracks and the last few weeks i've had a constant influx of Guitar Wolf merch. i ordered their newest album LOVEROCK which i recieved the day before classes started fro me at UTD. fir the first few days of class i listened toi it during my walk between classes untill i nearly lost it. i switched out LOVEROCK for a burn of Planet of the Wolves and then i realized i was late for calss then rushed off and forgot the cd player. no loss really, the cd player was a piece of shit but i really liked the headphones.
saturday was stephen's birthday party massacre, it was one hell of a time. we played a set with our new bassist chris who has only been with us for a few weeks but has been picking up all the material super fast. the set was pure trash and chaos! we dis a feew old songs and the rest were new and way more complicated, in the end i told the (largely embellished) story of how me, Nick, and Stephen missed Guitar Wolf's show in Dallas then i unleashed the absolute JET-Rock'n'Roll power that is Rumble on the crowd as the of the band smashed things.
andrew from Five Pointers brought vegan chili and a cookie cock that i diddn't get a chance to try. i made chicken and tofu curry wich was a hit. we had a cookout planned but i never happened. i think the patties are still in stephen's freezer. i then led the Wild Zero drinking game and got blasted towards the second half of the movie.
there were a fuckload of people there, old friends and new friends. Lisa, Megan, and Desiree came to see us play. they dressed up Desiree in rare form.
now that we've played a show together as a reformed XVSO we got the taste for the stage again. i think we're ready. the finale is something i want to try doing again.
i'd be enjoying myself more right now but it seems i've picked up a bug somewhere the other night and now i'm sick. i've spent the last 20 or so hours past out.
until next time, this was your caliginous peregrinator,
