what a fucking nightmare.
i was spending another day out with chris and we stop at a convinience store to grab a quick snack, as we leave and make a turn and head for stephen's house nearby. we're alerted to the presence of a black police car. when i say black i mean black like in one of my night terrors i had when i was 13 and sick for a week, the black that sucks in light around it, so black looking at it makes your eyes hurt. we turn left and my point of view is next to the wheel of the police car, as we make another left turn i see the car me and chris are in swerve right and then left really hard and i see the car ram the curb and turn and roll twice. i black out the first time.
then, i "wake up" at home with only some light bruises and scrapes, i can remember the accident but not what happened immediately after. i search everywhere for some kind of clue as to what the hell just happened but nothing turns up.
a few "days" pass and i find a set of pictures in the paper package you get when your pictures come back from the photolab. they're accident scene pictures. horrible. she's ok, thrown clear but hurt bad and bandaged up but not the way anyone medically compotent would do it at all.
that "day" i decided to see if any of it actualy happened and decided to go to where the accident happened, nothing, no skidmarks, no broken auto glass, nothing that earmarks evidence of an accident. where we were going that night was just down the street after that last left turn. i stop by to try to find the line of reality in this madness that is eating my mind. i think to myself, is any of it real? why am i not gravely injured?
just as i park down the street at stephen's i see chris walking by, i get out of the car and say, Jesus! you're ok. What the hell happened?
she comes over. "yeah, i'm ok, mostly its just..."
what?
"its just... i mean, i like you and all but........"
my eyes snap open. i think i'm really awake. after laying there a few minutes i'm pertty sure it was a nightmare. i get up and start typing.....

i could wax all philosophical here but a nightmares'a a nightmare. it doesn't have to mean anything. anyone versed in dream analysis is welcome to take a shot.
