Sure Tassie isn't that bad, but I really dont find it that good either. The only thing keeping me here are my friends (lack there of atm) and family. Job wise, there isn't really all that much to offer compared to the mainland, unless you want to work in a warehouse, drive trucks or be a receptionist. But hey, it would be beautiful place to visit...If you were old and retired or hiding out in the bushes. other than that its just too cold.
