Hello Lovelies!
I have to begin with a thank you! Thank you for being a part of this beautiful, unique and amazing community. I am so proud of what this idea has turned into - a place where people can appreciate the beauty in every girl and can connect to find people who understand, encourage, support and inspire them.
SG at its core was founded to spread confidence - that idea grew from one girl to 10, to 100, to 1,000, to hundreds of thousands, to millions of lives. The scale of that is humbling and inspiring. Everyone that has been touched by SG and shared the love and appreciation has helped the message to grow and expand into what it has become today.
I have been saving the positive emails and letters I have received from girls all these years (1263 kind emails and 100's of cards, notes and mailed letters*) Reading over them with tears of gratitude streaming down my face and a heart bursting with love. My thanks to all of these women is immeasurable for sharing their stories. It is only met by my love and appreciation to all of the SuicideGirls and Hopefuls who have shared their confidence, and love for themselves and each other with the world. The impact they have had has literally changed people's worlds.
20 years ago Rose believed in our vision and 20 years later here we are, with models from every continent including Antarctica, we have nearly 4k official SuicideGirls and tens of thousands of hopefuls. We have made movies and books, toured the world, been highlighted in more publications than I can count, been featured on a network television show written entirely about us, stood up to an art world bully, been to a dozen Comic-Cons, featured interviews and a newswire & produced posters, magazines, and finally now shoes with one of my favorite shoe brands, T.U.K. We are one of the oldest (and best IMO) social networks on the internet at this point, outlasting so many, because you have pivoted with us and believed in the vision behind the site.
I am so grateful for the trust and faith you have put in the SG team. I could never have envisioned the path we would take but I could not be more pleased with where we are today.
You can never know what your love and support truly means.
