Brilliant and Beautiful and missed so much.
On 1/10 Take 10 minutes to think about something in a new way as a tribute to the one and only Bowie? Keep his innovation alive. Master of reinvention, new ideas and new perspectives. We will need them in 2017.
It struck me while watching this that our image will live on after our bodies have died. That there will be video of us talking and sharing and moving and effusing. It is a form of immortality.
Documenting our current selves is important so we can see how far we have come. Phoenix like advancement though can only come from the demise of the old. The most frightening thing is to think that we are in the same place. Innovation comes iteratively, all ideas are aging, we should constantly be reexamining our positions.
I think Bowie taught us to constantly be reinventing ourselves. New thought can only come from the new, old ideas will strangle us. Build on where we have come from but constantly change and evolve.
At the start of the new year and the anniversary of this innovative thinkers death it is a good time to rethink where we stand and spend 10 minutes trying to think of something in a new way. Take 10 minutes to think like Bowie would on 1/10. Seems a fitting tribute?
