Last night was my photo show reception at Stormy Leather. It was part of the Women of Color project. I was amazed at the turn out. Amazed! After 15 years in San Francisco in the BDSM scene, it was the most diverse crowd I think I'd ever seen at one event! Trans, Gay, All Ethnicities and then some, In the closet, WAY out of the closet, A couple of suits and the street rats they pay to fulfill their dirty fantasies , Queer burlesque girls, bois, boys and men, So many Hot Girls in Corsets, hot tattoos, piercings, brandings, OMG! Miss Heart has started a fucking fabulous trend here in the San Francisco Bay Area! And Larry Utley brought me a HUGE box of chocolates in a leather heart shaped box! Lary Utley brought me chocolates. The photographer Ive watched and fond over for AGES...
I would have loved to have had better sound and a better stage. I was barely able to see the suspensions - although I was accidentally in front for the burlesque show. I sorta felt bad that the people behind me might not be able to see... but not bad enough to move. Sorry.
And!? I got to untie one of the girls from her pesky bra. Damn that pesky bra!
Plus it was my first photography show! It was amazing to have people appreciating my photos - although a bit nerve wracking to have it out there and watch peoples reaction to it. I've had a ton of stuff on sites - and a couple in magazines, and that's so different. I don't have to watch their reaction. I don't have to hear their immediate response. Now, I sorta want to do another show soon!
The only weird moment was when BDSM client walked up and said hello. It wasn't just his presence, but the fact that he walked up at the exact moment a good friend of mine arrived and for a couple moments I thought they knew each other as they stood next to each other talking to me. I didn't have a clue as to ask them if they knew each other! Gah!
As it turns out, they didn't. But still, it has to be one of the most awkward moments in the history of Awkward.
And for your viewing pleasure, may I present Miss J. Good night and naughty dreams!
