Man, I have the attention span of a gnat. I frequently marvel at the fact that I manage to accomplish anything at all. I've been meaning to update this thing, but can't seem to sit still for more than five minutes at a time! T minus seven days until I leave for Nicaragua! The anticipation is driving me a bit nuts. Thankfully, the past few weeks have been filled with birthdays, bonfires, and drinkin' beer on the beach.
Last night my good friend Kate Racculia had a book signing/reading for her first novel, This Must Be The Place. The venue was packed and their was a line out the door. It's so thrilling to see someone I care about experience success.
I made cupcakes for the occasion
Two nights earlier I saw the Flaming Lips! I now want to quit life and follow them around the world. Wayne Coyne exudes kindness and well being like no one I have ever met or been in the presence of. Flaming Lips shows are like the most off the wall childhood birthday party ever. Huge balloons filled with confetti, crowd surfing teddy bears, giant hands shooting laser beams, it was like nothing I have ever seen. Wayne Coyne is like the Willy Wonka of music.
My only regret is that I did not bring my camera, so all I have are shitty phone cam pics.
I spent Fourth of July Weekend in my old neighborhood by the sea. I'd describe the awesomeness, but I've got to get back to work! So here are some photos.
This is what happens when you crash a bonfire, hit on a bunch of girls half your age like a douche and then pass out
You get turned into a mermaid.
Well, I may not update again before I leave. I will be updating a blog on my website and running a blog documenting our trip as a group. If you want to keep tabs on me send me a message and I'll hit you with a link or two.
Best of luck to you all.
