Spent the long weekend in NYC. Had an amazing time. Saturday night we went to Dr. Sketchy's and drew the lovely Gal Friday as Hunter S. Thompson. Went to dinner in Little Italy and then hit up The Slipper room for more burlesque. My gay best friend was invited on stage by Miss Saturn. It was deliciously awkward. Apparently he's never undone a bra before and was a bit flummoxed! I was seated next to Enigma. He is kind of freaking adorable and I admit to being intrigued and somewhat smitten. I was too shy to ask for a photo.
Sunday was Jazz brunch at The Garage Cafe. The music was excellent and so were the unlimited mimosas. We stopped for Margaritas on the way to the Rock and Roll hall of Fame (Annex) and were thoroughly sloshed by the time we got there. Thank heavens. It was filled with slow reading mouth breathers and sweaty as hell. We ended the night at "Thank You For Being A Friend" a raunchy drag musical tribute to Golden Girls.
I know you're not here for my riveting prose, so on with the photos:

I did not participate in the throwing of fried chicken this time.

I'm going to miss my neighborhood. Took these stumbling home drunk after
the SCOTS/Los Straightjackets show.

I've always wanted to steal this bike.

There is currently a can-can rehearsal going on in my living room. I'm off.
