We sat in his pen for an hour, but he never came near us. This will be a huge challenge, but we want so much to make it work. We plan to keep visiting and hope he gets used to us. He's been there for over a year, and he's only used to a few people. Not a good sign. It means he may never make any significant headway. So far we're not deterred by that, though. I wish I could go back right now and just sit with him for the rest of the weekend. The shelter is only open for 5 hours at a time, 5 days a week, so I won't get the chance to do that.
