My life is never ever quiet, this week I had a 5 day spell at the Fancy Dress Shop I work at while my boss and the business owners all went on holiday. They had arranged that a guy help out who has worked there before to help out (keep in mind he was sacked for being unreliable previously)...
WELL GUESS WHAT.
Damn boy shows up one day (Monday) and doesn't turn up the rest. It also so happened that my kidneys decided to try and escape from my body.
Not really they were just infected but it did feel a little like that . Monday night I had to rush to the hospital to get sorted, then rush home and get some sleep to get to work. To work on my own, in a 3 story shop with no lunch break however I knew I had to keep that shop open. I managed it, just.
The shop owner is back now and was really appreciative, I did let them know how sick I was and how alone too.

So in other news - I managed to win a photography award; Runner up - 'Mans best friend' Dog photographer of the Year Award from the kennel club.

Now I get to go to London to receive my award - this is the first photography competition I have ever entered so I'm more than chuffed about it.

I haven't drawn much recently, I should remedy that soon however I have been sewing. I decided to make my halloween costume this year like an undead snow white burlesque kinda ... thing.
So I made a little tulle ruff and as I didn't want to ruin the fabric I made a mock up bustle skirt in some lilac satin. This is just pinned to my dress form so far she is also far bigger than I am so this will be most closed and sit on my hips (I MAY alter it so that I can wear it on my waist however). It so happens I do have lovely lingerie already in lilac so it can be a little burlesque costume in its own right.
Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow and I can post some better photos then.
