Hello SG land ā„ hope everyone's doing ok! This is a great topic to talk about, so I wanted to share with you my journey on mental health. I started therapy in 2019 after a break up. It really helped me a lot to deal with that break up at that time, to focus on me, to understand that there are things about me I want to change to become a better person.
Then in 2020, everything was so chaotic that I had a small breakdown due to stress (I had 2 jobs, I was starting a new project for a clothing brand, I was still resolving things with my ex, aand I had a few fights with my family). In October 2020, my psychologist referred me to a psychiatrist, and the specialist told me to take a few days off to calm my head. Since that time, I take pills for anxiety (a small dose) but it really helps me in the moments where life seems to be in hard mode LOL. I also continue doing therapy, and that helps me even more! I highly recommend that you do therapy if you can, it helps more than you think ā„ and please don't have the stigma that only people 'with problems' go to a psychologist.
In fact, we all have problems, people who go to a psychologist only look for tools on how to solve them in the most peaceful way possible :)
Nowadays, I highly prioritize everything that makes me happy: My family, my friends, my beautiful dog Tommy ā„ and my job! Thank you for being part of my life and supporting what I do! I love you all!
XOXO
