It's Veteran's Day as most can see on TV and get all of those discounts when you go shopping today.

Apart from the bad beginning to the morning.
All I'd like today would be families to be together instead of skyping, phones calls being shared or facebook comments posted.
Husbands and wives together for even just a night, sons and daughters with their families because really don't they deserve it? Fuck the buying furniture half off or whatever because they people who deserve it aren't really in the place to go shopping. War zone or not, being stuck in another country they just want to be home. There's this whole "oh thank a veteran today" fuck that bullshit. But hear me out. What about tomorrow or next week? Thank them then when a lot of you might not have the day off. I'm reminded of when I left for Hawaii my family and I were saying our goodbyes and a group of soldiers were standing around and my mom walked up and just said thank you. A kid turned around and said "your welcome" with tears in his eyes. Thank a wife of a service member for waiting by the phone or by the computer waiting to see her husband log in. Thank the children for standing strong while mom or dad leave for who knows how long. Thank the mom or dad who saw their child off to war.
