For me, I think I felt like an adult before I even was an adult! I have always been pretty mature for my age.
But I guess it really makes you realise when you have to deal with more bills than ever and ensuring you can make enough money per month. Especially being self employed.
But all that aside, lets not focus on the usual money side of things that go with being an adult! There is so much more to it I believe. Especially mentally!
Loosing my Mum last year, I lost my rock. I was always secretly trying to prepare myself for it but she wasn't supposed to die even though it was always a chance with her illness (anyway that story is for another day!), but loosing that support... I think that's when you truly realise how much of an adult you are. You have to truly pull yourself together like you never even imagined you could...
Having a variety of "to do" lists also makes you realise how much of an adult you have become lol.
But I do believe, you should always stay young at heart... As I get older I don't really feel much different. And I'm pleased. No matter what stresses present themselves in life you just have to deal with them as they come. Even though being an anxious person it is tough...
How about you guys? When did you realise you had become an adult!?
