So yesterday I was informed that the local track that I "volunteer" at may be closed after yesterday. This really sucks ass. Over the years, far to many dragstrips have closed, so that people could develop the land into another fucking strip mall or some shit. This unfortunately, leaves the drag racers no where to go, but the streets, which is a horrible place to go. Some organizations are buying portable time systems that they can set up anywhere, and are renting places and such to have a dragstrip for a day, in order to cut down on some of the street racing. that is such a great idea.
Plus by doing it this way they can have the emergency vehicles ready for action, if needed.
Okay next subject! My father took his car out on Saturday and broke it. While I was under the car unhooking the tie down straps I noticed that there was a rear end leak. I told me dad and he said that the gasket always has the problem. I then told him that it wasn't the gasket that it was coming from the tube. He then went under there and said that it was okay, because it wasn't leaking that bad. Well, after the first run, it was leaking really bad. So now the rear end is out of the car and it looks like he either spun the tube or the weld broke. Tonight we drove an hour and a half to drop it off at the drivetrain place. So all is well, until we get the bill. But on a good note, I have to only running race car, so it looks like I will be getting some serious seat time, until the Duster is fixed.
Well, it is getting closer to the Cedar Point festivities.

I need to get a water bottle for it because it likes to tip the water dish over all the time.
