I used to love the Japanese drift scene and their cars but in my opinion Japanese car maker are no longer in the game. Sure Nissan, Toyota and Honda were leading class in performance oriented car on a budget in the 90's (I've owned a genuine integra Type-r few years ago myself). I watched Tokyo Drift several time, a mustang with an RB26 engine seriously who came up with that idea it's awesome lol, and been hooked to Initial D. Don't worry, I genuinely think that the GTR R33 is the best car to ever came out of Japan. It's just that I found myself to be more into 'lap times' than 'style' and drifting isn't the quickest way around a track. After owning 9 Honda's I tried German engineering and I think I'm hooked for the rest of my life. The time Japan was making the Supra, the 86,the GTR, the FairladyZ, the Type-R etc etc is far away in the past :( look at how boring their car are these day :(

Ah yeah the 90s cars are so much better, I hate the new Gtrs they're simply not skylines any more! Check out Irish Drift Championship and Ultimate Drift on Facebook, it's huge over here now, the guy who runs Idc runs the English one too, and they've finally recognised it as a motorsport now so more money will be going into it, but in Ireland it's more building your car from scratch into a track monster
