I attempted to go out last night. You know, the whole "doll-up-and-go-to-a-bar" idea. I realized, before I left, that I had no money, and no idea how to procure free drinks.
I asked around a little bit because hey - free gin & tonics just taste better - and here are the suggestions I received regarding how to get someone to buy a free drink for you.
- Compliment them on a piece of clothing. Like "Hey, nice sweater, where did you get it?" This sounds lame and I did not/will not try it.
- Bump into someone with your drink less than half full and make it look like they spilled it.
