vain: Excessive pride in one's appearance or accomplishments; conceit.


would any of you consider me vain? be honest. my boyfriend made a comment earlier thats been getting to me all night as i worked. he said, "you take a lot of pictures of yourself." well, yes i do. not nearly as many as some people i know, but yes i do enjoy taking pictures of myself, and others. is that vain? i do it to post on my journals along with an entry, or just for sheer documentation of my life. its nice to keep up to date pictures, because frankly we change so much whether we realize it or not. i love looking back on old pictures i've taken because in just a few months i'll probably look different. i dont really see anything wrong with taking many pictures of oneself...and i wouldnt say that im vain. i actually have quite a few problems and insecurities with my appearance, so it'd be rather hard for me to be vain. i dont know, i need to stop being so sensitive i guess. usually i love my flaws, but i do have a problem with being accused of a flaw that i dont feel i have.
