WOW all the <3 <3 <3 you guys are giving my set is so flattering! Thank you!!! I'm sweatin' bullets watching the voting I'm gonna try to not look for a few hours, and check later tonight.
I just want to say for all ya'll who emailed/commented and asked how my tattoos are so bright, I'll reveal the secret!!!
1) I'm super pale, so neon inks that wouldn't show so bright on an olive or darker skin tone show up like paint on my german/irish/zombie flesh
2) I go to great tattoo artists who use super bright colors, and who are also artists themselves so they think like painters when it comes to color choice. And,
3) I take OBSESSIVELY GOOD CARE OF MY INK! It's a lifetime investment! I wear SPF 50 or higher anytime my ink sees sun, irregardless of season. I also moisturize every day with all natural, non perfumed lotion (C.O. Bigelow is my current favorite, Aveeno is also good). Vitamin E Oil is also excellent to use during the latter part of the healing process, keeps it super moisturized and nourished and banishes scabbing.
My artists for the record are:
The Legs - Gene Coffey at Tattoo Culture in WIlliamsburg, Brooklyn http://www.tattooculture.net
The Arm & Chest - Brian Ulrich at Living Arts in New Hope PA http://www.myspace.com/livingarts
The Hips - Scott Smith at Living Arts http://scottsmithtattoos.net/
The Neck and Stomach: Emma @ Porcupine Tattoo in Greenpoint, Brooklyn http://www.porcupinetattoo.com
