How many good gigs have been announced this year? It's just the third week in January yet I'm looking at being poor for the next three months due to some fantastic live shows!
On Wednesday there is Reuben at the Barfly! Reuben are a band I've liked for about 6 years, I was into them before me and Del got together! I remember seeing them at the Barfly many moons ago, and getting absolutley drunk with my old friend Chris on 1 Reefs from the then Wetherspoons next door haha! Was so much fun. I read in a magazine that they are going to be playing Freddy Kruger which is just one of the many good reasons for going.
30th, is My Ruin in Brighton. Again another band I've been into for at least 8 or 9 years. They have Die So Fluid supporting them which shall be good. Brighton for this one. I do love it there.
24th of Feb is Enter Shikari and the 29th is Gallows. Gallows have to be one of my most favourite bands to see live. I just love how arrogant Frank comes across on stage. We saw them not that long ago and they were so good live. I never really liked them much until we watched them at Download where they were just amazing. Not many of my mates like them, but it's because they havent seen them live. They have Lethal Bizzle supporting them last time, he was amazing, even more so than Poison The Well!
10th of March should be Panic! At The Disco providing that I can get tickets. I'm looking forwards to this one, they are a great band live and their songs are just too catchy for words.
April & May are the months I'm most excited about though. Every Time I Die <3, Good Charlotte [even though they piss me off they are a good live band], Mindless Self Indulgence [who I must admit I didn't like until I saw them supporting My Chemical Romance last year], Give It A Name ... which is on my birthday. I was dreading my birthday this year but now there is dancing, gigs, drinking, Billy Talent & 30 Seconds To Mars playing, I'm well excited for it. This is probably the gig I'm most excited about. When I saw the line up I almost ran around my house squeeling excitedly hehe.
I also want to get tickets to see As I Lay Dying & Parkway Drive but noone wants to come with me, and I'm not going on my own.
I do love a bit of live music.
In other news, I started my diet this week, I started it last Sunday! This week I weighed myself and I lost 8lbs. I do like losing weight, once I actually start doing it it gives me an enormous push to do well and actually stick to it. I just need to find the enjoyment of taking the time out and actually cooking fresh food. Last night I cooked quorn filled stuffed peppers, and it was lovely. I've never had them before but they were delish, I shall deffo be making them again. I've been trying to get out and go for a walk on my days off, but today is pissing down with rain and I hate getting wet trousers haha, so I've got a new fitness DVD which is actually quite good to follow so in a bit I might start doing it, even if it's just 30 minutes or so
Anyways thats my little post for this week, hope you're all well
