So what does a girl do when she is all work and very little play? She dresses up and takes self portraits, of course! I now have a computer that is even more full with photos of me. I wear hats in some. Yes, I am mildly foolish and throughly vain.
In my defence, I have actually been doing some work for a change. My brain finally caught on that I was going to have to do it all if I wanted to get into next year's course so I have been a busy little beaver. Some of the more entertaining moments included trying to stencil with paper and spray paint in the wind, taking photos of drawings on acetate in different locations (it looks like you have a drawing standing in your house!) and spending far far too much on fabric at Spotlight.
As a result my fingers are pink (from the spray paint), my girlfriend is amused and I am skint. Skint but productive. Go me!

In addition to doing a lot of work I managed to have quite a bit of going-out fun this weekend. Hurray! There was beer and metrosexuals at Amplifier with the ever gentlemanly ampersand on Friday night. It was a fascinating study in the metro male psyche, much manly hugging and bad chat-up line action ensued. "I'm a fisherman and this is my bait", erm...what?
This was followed last night with a spontaneous local theatre visit and my Perth goth club debut. The recently departed Jaquelin_Michael invited miss kat, ampersand and I out to see her at her newish place of work and proceeded to give us free cocktails all evening. God bless her. There was much industrial music and bad NIN covers (allegedly, my knowledge of NIN does not yet stretch to judging the quality of the covers), they played Interpol (eh?) and there was a piercing stage show with feathers, sparklers and a suicide suspension. It was hot. And painful looking.
Add the traditional Sunday morning hungover-breakfast and coffee at my local cafe and you have my weekend. So what have you been up to?

I'm still yet to find a chick who likes that as well.
It's amazing how helpless I am against the power of a batted eye-lid. It really is rather troubiling some times.
