So its been quite a while since i posted a proper blog and lots has been going on in the past few months. As you all know my year started off pretty poorly with a few unfortunate events and so far things seem to be staying on the same course for now, with a few minor exceptions.
I got accepted to go back to universuty for a postgraduate in Primary Education starting in August. Im really happy and really sad about this all at the same time. I have a degree in Community Arts and I love it to bits, its just that I cant seem to get a job at the moment in the field what with the financial crisis etc. I would love to be a primary teacher, but part of me still agrees with all my old lecturers who I met just before my primary interview, Ive lost my artistic freedom, and my wild child ways.
Even though I have my university acceptance I still need a job, I hate sponging off the goverment. That and I seriously need some cash to help me pay my way through uni for another year! However if things go the way I want I will get a community arts related job and be able to fulfil my original wish to do my masters degree.
Also my beautiful little renalt clio died on me about six weeks ago. I had emmy for five and a half years and she never let me down so it was weird when everything just went at once. On the bright side though I now have a three year old renault megan to run about in. Its a bit faster and a lot bigger. My parents are paying for the car at the moment until I get a job and some income which is rather generous of them.
My gran went back into hospital yesterday, and is out again today. To put it politely she is an attention seeking, twisted vindictive and conspiring old buddy. Basically the family hadn't been up to see her as much in the past two weeks as after four months of visiting her in hospital every single day and running to get whatever she needed whenever she clicked her fingers, everyone needed a little space. So convienently my gran was suddenly not feeling so well again and woke my mum up at 4am to call the doctors and ambulance for her. By the time the ambulance got her to the hospital she was miraculously fine (funny how attention works better than drugs). My mum isn't handling the whole thing that well and is almightly pissed off. My boyfriend isn't hanling it very well either, his gran died last month of a sudden heart attack, in her late eighties she still worked every day. My gran is a little younger and reveling in ill health and basically stagnating as she refuses to do anything for herself, and demands attention.
Ok grumble over.
Has anyone read the twilight books? I fell in love with them and read all four within a week. Im now attempting to start the Raymond Feist books which my boy loves so much, however they make me feel really old cause the print is so small and my eyesight not brilliant so I always feel like im squinting, lol.
Ok time to get back to the job applications!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the good weather x x x
