Ok so out in the middle of nowhere we celebrate little things called gala days. Now each town has its own gala day which happens on a saturday in the months of june and july. The gala days are basically a small procession with floats from the different schools and community groups and a gala day queen and her maids and page boys. In the town of Lanark however it is not only a gala day but a week long celebration called Lanimers! now the high point of lanimers is the thursday morning procession where every school tries to build the best float and dress the kids in elaborate costumes and other groups from the town fight mercilessly to win the Large pagent entry and shield for best overall float. Only one thing pisses off the people of lanark (lanarkians) and thats their lanimer tradition being called a gala day . . . . . .

so with all that in mind, i entered a little lanimer lorry under the name The Gala Day gang, themed Pratman and the Lanark superheroes and toddled round the 2 1/2 mile procession wishing everyone a happy gala day!







Incase your wondering I was batgirl and thats my sis as catwoman . . . . . . . and walking 2 1/2 miles in high heels rubber leggings anad a corset is very uncomfortable!
