I started my new year by driving with my parents and little Ava to Shawnee, OK for funeral services for mu Aunt that passed away a few weeks ago. She was cremated and it took a couple of weeks for her remains to ship. The service was really beautiful. Much different than the services I'm used to which are Catholic.

I miss my husband and twins something fierce and can't wait to get home. We start driving tomorrow and will probably make it past Albuquerque before we stop for rest, if we do stop. My dad is so machismo it's pathetic. He won't let my mom or I drive. If he did, we could go straight through, as long as Ava doesn't get to fussy. A 2 year old stuck in a car seat that many hours straight would be rough. We may get a little weather. Not a lot, but cold through Amarillo and some snow that isn't supposed to accumulate in Albuquerque.

So, for now I will say, rest in peace Aunt Jean. Sleep well with your Little Ricky, baby sister Janice and my Pa Paw. Say hi to my Nana, Nana Mom and Tata Dad for me. I love you, and have great memories of you. Your spirit was always so free, and I hope you are having as much fun as you have always wanted.
