I'm not sure yet on how I feel about this year. There have been many milestones... Kids started kindergarten, for example. But it's been a rough year. A very rough year. There has been turmoil in the lives of the people I love, there's been turmoil in my own. Although most of my turmoil wasn't really a "function" or "result" of 2008, but the aftermath, or the remnants or whatever the hell you want to call them, have all existed in my 2008. There are things I wouldn't change about this year for a million dollars. Not for 10 million dollars. There are also things that I'm still trying to change about this year... with a week left, I still wish for change for this year.
Here are some of the great experiences of my life for 2008.
1) New York City with my sis... on a whim... sleeping on the streets to see the New Kids on the Block, singing Karaoke with obvious prostitutes.
2) The 60 mile breast cancer walk. Truly life changing. I dream about this event. I want to relive it. I want the struggle, I want the relief, I want the genuine feeling of thankfulness and appreciation.
3) I've opened up to loved ones about things. Stuff that was harbored came out. The circumstances weren't ideal, but all in all, the timing was probably more appropriate than we'd ever imagine.
4) I turned 30, on a cruise ship. With my family surrounding me. My hubby, who is non-romantic, had the room decorated for me. It is something I will never forget.
5) I went on a great cruise! I actually did a lot of traveling this year... San Diego, Denver (twice), New York, Rocky Point, Cruise including Mazatlan, Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo. There may be more.
6) I acquired a taste for Sake Bombers, and wine.
7) The Twilight Series
8) Getting turned on to Sia
9) Of course, Obama happened.
Whatever happens, I'll be okay. Whatever 2009 brings, I'll be ready. I hope it brings lots more memories and good times. Lots of travels. Maybe the rediscovery of sparks. I hope it brings my family closer together. My marriage stronger and my spirit uplifted, the way it became after the 60 mile walk. I hope to influence, change, motivate, lead, and lots of other things that will make start my early 30's prominent, poignant and positive.

Lots of love to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year. Overall sounds like you had a lot to celebrate for 2008.
