I'm at home today with the kids. Both the twins were up puking last night and now my son-shine has got the shits.
Friday, an old co-worker passed away. She was fairly young, like under 50, but had completely destroyed her liver from the many days of drinking her bud. I feel horrible because I knew she was sick and kept meaing to call her. I didn't realize that she was this bad, that she was on her deathbed. It's awful when you have these kind of regrets.
Other than this awful news, I had a nice weekend. I bought a new phone... a Blackberry Curve that I'm completely smitten with! Blackberry Curve.
Went to a friends on Sunday for swimming, booze and bbq! Fun times. Yesterday I took the twins to see Prince Caspian after lunch with my Mom. At first we were going to see Speed Racer but they wanted to see Caspian at the last minute. We were about 15 minutes late, but no big deal. It was really good!
So NKOTB are coming in October. I hope I can get tix!!!! Seeing them in New York was so awesome. It was like some great adventures that will be amazsing for my great grandchildren to read about in my memoirs. Of course I have to start writing those. The hostel we stayed in was so tiny, but it was fine. Especially since we wound up sleeping on the street Thursday night. Everyone was so friendly in NYC, much different that the attitude and hostility I was expecting. We went to Top of the Rock and Time Square. Went to a comedy show followed by karaoke. Somehow found our way back to the hostel the first night
. Thursday we thought we'd explore but after "assessing the situation" at the plaza, found ourselves in line for the next 18 hours or so. After the concert we were dog tired... went back to the hostel, (it was raining hard by now), took a shower and went out into the wet city. Luckily the owner of the hostel was cool about us leaving our bags there. We went to Statue of Liberty and WTC site after that. We couldn't enjoy much more because the weather was so miserable. Then it was back to the Hostel in Harlem, then the train to the upper east side to stay with my sis's friend. We had dinner at a sweet little French restaurant. We shared our food and a bottle of wine. By the time we went to sleep Friday night we'd been up for 36 hours with maybe a 1 1/2 hour nap in there. We were up super duper early to get our flights out of JFK.
I would love to go back to NYC but could NEVER live there. We did so much walking I had shin splints
It was such a great experience!!!!!!!!

I'm not on here too often, so I just got your comment today. I hope all the kids are feeling better now.
Have a good week ! xo Fran
