So I'm back from Vegas. It was a super time, except for one of my friends who was really a pain in the ass most of the time. Friday night spent at Carnaval Court at Harrah's and it was so fun. The live band did great rock covers and I got realy drunk. Saturday we went to the awesome pool at Mandalay Bay, with Beach sand, wave pool and all. That night we went to 2 of the clubs at The Palms but left to go back to the Hotel and drink there and at one of the lounges. Well half of us did. My friend that was the pain is really one of my oldest friends. I've been friends with her since the 2nd grade and we're 28 years old now. That's nearly 20 years. She was selfish, picked on people, and kept throwing the fact that her life is spoiled in everyone's face. Like how she can afford this and that, but complained the whole day about buying shots that cost $54. She thought she was going to be the cebter of attention but no one really let that happen and it freaking killed her.
On the drive up, my sister and I both had to use our breast pumps. She, pretty much out of nowhere makes the statement that no one better tell her that breastmilk is better than formula because her kids didn't get it and they were not going to be any dumber than kids who were breastfed. So no one was going to go all breastfeeding Nazi on her, but it is a proven fact that breastmilk is better for a child. But that's not the killer. She's always the first one to tell people what they're doing wrong in raising a child, in their career path, in their housekeeping etc. and no one was even telling her anything about her on breastfeeding.
She was pissed because I didn't "let" her stay out all Sunday morning to go shopping for her kids. I had three stops to make to get people home before I could get home and I didn't want to wait all fucking morning to leave Vegas. Her ass was supposed to be up and out of the hotel room by 9am to do that and take one of the other girls to the airport. Well 9:45 rolls around and they're barely leaving, then they got lost going to the airport (which you could see outside our window, why was that so hard?) So she came back so we could head out and doesn't say a damn word to anyone, nor does she help with the 60 bags, she puts her headphones on and doesn't provide any input on getting out of Vegas so my ass got lost! When she finally started talking, she complained about stopping for gas and one of the girls who wound up getting sick with the shits on the way home. Okay, fine, we all want to be home too, but what can we do but wait. It's not like I'm gonna let her shit in my van!
So, total Karma... I accidentally gave her bag to my brother in law when I dropped off my sis in Phoenix. We didn't realize until we got to her stop at the 101 and Guadalupe. She had to wait on my sis to meet her at the 101 & Bell. She wasso pissed and I feel bad that my sis had to deal with her again, but it was karma that it happened to her.
I have about 100 stories about how she was so horrible. She doesn't know that pretty much all of us felt she was an ogre, but I think as a friend I've got to tell her. Hubby says not to do it in an email but in person, but I want all my thoughts to be straight and put together. Not emotional, you know.
I'm just venting though. It really was an outstanding weekend.

I got lost leaving Vegas last time as well. For the most part, I blamed my brother because he was riding shotgun and he should have been navigating me better. Now I am curious as to what kind of shot cost $54.

At least you got home by 7. I did not get home until 10pm, and I left our hotel at about 11am. And only getting lost leaving Vegas added about 20-30 more minutes to my drive.
