So the craziest thing EVER happened last night. I was staying at my friends Kim and Kristin's place with my friend Nicole and we were making "mis-fortune" cookies. I had a little too much to drink but we were still having a hilarious time. Before Kristin had gotten home from work, we had heard someone fumble with the door knob a couple of times. We just thought we were hearing things as there was no one in the hallway. So Kristin got home from work and left the door unlocked and laughed at us for having it locked seeing as how there was three of us there.
10 minutes after we Kristin got home the door made the noise again so we all ran around the corner and this Aboriginal woman walks in all disheveled and and sits down on the couch. She starts ranting and raving about how she wanted a pair of shoes. Kristin ordered her out of the apartment and chased her down the hallway outside after she tried to steal a pair of shoes.
So we called the police and they said they would go out and look for this woman. While we were talking to them on the phone, Kristin and I decided to go and check the basement of the building.
Kim and Kristin share an apartment above a Karate Dojo near Moray and the basement is where the laundry room and the storage rooms are. The door to the storage room was wide open (which NEVER happens) and the other people who live next to Kim didn't have a lock on there storage closet and it looked like it had been rummaged though. It also REEKED of paint thinner. We then decided to check the bathrooms that are down there and found the men's bathroom to be completely trashed with a couple of aerosol bottles in the trash can along with a TON of bloody tissues. It was disgusting.
The funny thing is that Kim and I had been talking on the phone earlier in the day and she had gone into the basement and was telling me that it smelled like someone had been painting. She said that someone was in the laundry room so she just went back upstairs to go do something else. We figured out that this woman might have actually been downstairs the whole day. There was no reason for the smell of paint (Kristin called the landlord and he said that there was no painting going on at all).
So we spent the rest of the night sitting in the living room talking because we were all so freaked out by what had happened. I mean, WHAT THE HELL?! What were we supposed to think when this woman just waltzed in to the living room. It was kind of scary at the time, but as soon as the booze wore off I had a good laugh about it.
Other than that, things have been pretty uneventful. I just started seeing this new guy and he is absolutely amazing. I haven't been this happy in a while.
Wow. It seems like I can only manage to write a good journal entry when something weird happens.
Oh I also posted my pics from Thunderbay on my Onfinite website. GO CHECK EM OUT! PICS
