Beautiful warm grey morning here. French-press coffee, clean kitchen, and talkative kitties. Pedicure appointment in an hour with a sweet lady who spoils me like I spoil my clients. I like for my feet to always look pretty now after I abused them with ballet for 15 years.
Speaking of clients, just checked my vm, and someone said "Hope you're not back in the hospital" since it's taken me a little while to return the call. 3 weeks later, I can laugh at my binge-vodka-drinking-passing-out-w/-security-system-going-off-thrown-in-ER episode. I've shared the story w/ you all (feel special!) and a few friends and clients whom I trust. What is not funny, however, is the cost of my little indiscretion: $2000 for a 6-hour hospitalization, and a seperate $600 for the ambulance ride there! They each got a Christmas card w/ a generous $5 from me this month. I'm joking about the card.
I'm reading Our Lady of the Flowers again by Jean Genet. I haven't read it since I was a shy, blushing teenager.
All my parents could say about it then was "Why is the man on the cover wearing a dress?" I guess my tastes, even in literature, have always leaned towards the exotic.
Well, I have to go and be pampered now.
What do you want for Christmas/The Holidays more than anything else? Tell me something material, no "world peace" crap answer.
