"Calm down my heart...don't beat so fast...don't be afraid
just once in a lifetime
no rain can wash away my tears
no wind can soothe my pain
you made me doubt, you made me fear
but now I'm not the same"
Once In a Lifetime--Wolfsheim
I've been playing that song to death, from a CD McG gave me of all industrial/synthpop. The last time I was really into that genre of music was when Front 242 came out. I had alot of various records on Wax Trax, also...where are they now? It's nice to hear what the kids today are listening to. These crazy kids w/ their eyeliner. I had a friend when I was in 9th grade who would draw it on every morning with a felt-tip pen. That, kids, is punk rock. Patti, if you're out there, I miss you!
I went out last night, of course, because the lady loves the nightlife. Hit the usual places, too crowded, sucky music, maybe I just wasn't in the mood. My friend and I went back to the tried-and-true Independent Bar, where McG lives , and danced a little bit. Always nice to see McG, who everyone must meet because he rocks, plain and simple. By the end of the night, I was just happy to hear some old U2 played. I love Bono, so fuck what you think.
I went back to my friend's house, or rather where she's housesitting for thefuckingdaddy while he's doing speed with Sven Vath in Rotterdam. By the way, daddy, everything is in one piece. She had planned ahead with the beer supply--don't you love when you come home from going out, and you've got more beer in the fridge?--so we had movie time. She had rented, God knows why, an Elizabeth Taylor movie called Sweet Bird of Youth. Her renting something like this, and us sitting through most of it, confirms that we are actually gay men. Sorry, dudes. Anyway, a rather bloated Liz is in a fetching array of muu-muus through the whole thing, whining from her bed for her cabana boy to bring her more "pinkies" (her downers or something) while she swigs out of a flask. Alex and I looked at each other and said "I want to be her!" Yes, mom and dad, thanks for college, but I've decided that all I really want to do with my life is be a doped-up lady of leisure with younger men hanging around to entertain me. I think I've earned that.
Today I'm back home, eating cereal out of the box and petting the cat on my lap. SG time is also kitty quality time. Wow, I feel almost maternal holding the sweet Luckstress right now. I need to be sweet like this, chill out on my temper that's gotten me into trouble a little bit lately (you see my stats--is it any surprise? It's hereditary ).
I want to start a book my husband bought about the history of Kosovo. I have a client from there, so I've become really interested. Need to read, relax, do 10 loads of laundry. Hey, it's not all glitz and glamour.

Thanks for reading. Bye darlings.

Ok, mon Cherie is gone again. Is it for real this time?
I do not like gratuitous loud grunting at the gym. I will not look over at you. Please keep your roid rage to yourself.
I'm off to give my lady a 2 hour massage. I will still have my mind in SG World where it likes to be. Do you do this at your job, too?

I'm listening to a LOT of Skinny Puppy these days. I'd like to go to their show in DC later in the month, but nobody wants to go! Grrr! How often do you get to see bands like this? Never!
I may have to suck it up and go myself, which I hate. Phooey.
how is you doin'? hey did contradiction get in touch with you? let me know. Here's yet another pic.
Lots o' love
