With my cup of strong coffee I bid good morning to you all! I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Mine is going swell, because I saw...
Kill Bill, vol. 2
last night!
It was great, and so was the whole evening. We met up with the same friends we saw the first Kill Bill with (isn't that adorable?) and had dinner before hand. We had some awesome Chinese food and dirty martinis. After the second martini, I was feeling a little
because keep in mind I had already had my 'work wine' at my spa. My boss gives me a mock-scolding and says "Karen, it's for the clients!" and then we both have some. Red wine is good for your heart, so drink up! So back to the movie, it was completely different from the first one, but it needed to be to fully explain the story. Uma kicked ass of course (
her! So fierce!) and had an awesome showdown w/ Elle. As usual I'm laughing and cheering while everyone is squirming. Without spoiling anything, let me just say the ending was kind of "awwww!" which was nice.
I had dreams that I was killing snakes with my Hatori Hanzo (sp?) sword. I was almost as fierce.
I have rediscovered the goofy brilliance of "Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week!" by the Sugarcubes. I loved it in high school, and remember driving my parents crazy with it. At least it was a happier change from The Land of Rape and Honey by Ministry. That album made my dad say "We have clearly lost control." I love revisiting all this old music I used to listen to. And of course I'm legally buying it
.
My coffee has me shaking. Time to have a little Special K or something, then more work to balance out the play. Working on Saturday---boo! Time to see some girls stroll into the spa hungover and wearing Juicy Couture sweatsuits. I love them. And I love their money.
Today's Thought:
Why is there cat hair all over the computer keyboard? Why would cats like to sleep on this uncomfortable thing?
Today's Song:
Eat the Menu by the Sugarcubes. You either love it, or want to punch Einar Orn in the face after hearing it, or both.
Today's Underwear:
Conservative beige thong I "borrowed" from my friend and "forgot" to return. Scandalous!
Today's Mood:
Hyper and sure to be annoying.
Love to ya!!! K
