A Collection of Random Thoughts
Who thought my life would have ended up with me on a Friday night at a rec centre full of seniors dancing?
Why do I feel so touchy right now?
I really want popsicles... really...
I've never had someone appreciate me reciting Jabberwocky as much as today.
I had the best day ever today!
I am not - repeat *not*...

Two Songs
Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More
Love that will not betray you, dismay or enslave you,
It will set you free
Be more like the man you were made to be.
There is a design,
An alignment to cry,
At my heart you see,
The beauty of love as it was made to be
Bruce Cockburn/BNL - Lovers in a Dangerous Time...

Nope. Not gonna happen. No one has ever heard me sing. Except for my grade seven class because we had a bastard of a music teacher who made each student sing a song solo in the first week of class.
smaptie:
You don't have to sing. Your laugh tonight was enough...ice harpy.

Excellent. That's the sort of story that works on a tour. Excellent photos, too. It reminds me of a Pennsylvania ghost story, that of Mad Anthony Wayne. General Wayne was a hero of the American Revolution--schools and townships are named after him.
After his death of natural causes in 1796, he was buried in Erie in Pa., at his last command. Thirteen years later, his daughter was gravely ill. She requested his body be moved to the family plot in Radnor, Pa., located in southwestern, Pa. So, the General's son took a light cart up to Erie. Here's where the story gets problematic. After thirteen years of death, Mad Tony had hardly decomposed. He was too heavy, and a bit gamey. So they de-fleshed his corpse. His organs and skin were re-buried in Erie, while his skeleton was taken to Radnor.
The ghost story states that parts of his skeleton fell off the wagon. So Mad Anthony rides the country roads at night, in the search for his missing parts.
In actuality, he's buried in two places.

Hey MJ, took me a bit to comment. Got distracted tonight. Really distracted. You know how it is. Something happens and you just can't stop thinking about it. I owe you the haunted gold mine story. Another night when I can think properly
Love your story. I can feel the pinch.
Sorry for falling asleep

I'm a Cooking Machine
There are a number of things that I like doing to relax and calm myself down. Walking the dogs, drawing (not necessarily well), teaching myself how to sew... but I really enjoy cooking.
Whether it's improvising or following a recipe - it's the perfect blend of creativity and science. Plus you get something tasty at the end.

Those all look good. I like to cook as well, but I don't always have the time. Sometimes, I just thumb through a cookbook at random, and then pick out whatever recipes look good.
I must say, those are some very appetizing dishes.

Very happy... that is all... just happy and sleepy and content.

Go to sleep, so I can.

A Soft Place to Land
I think sometimes everyone needs a soft, safe, happy place to land. A place of warmth and love to be greeted with kisses and open arms.
That's what I'm providing now.

I used to read comics as a kid, but took a hiatus in my teens. I kept all my graphic novels and back issues, and just started to re-read them again.
I just read the first volume of the series, "The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft." I'm a Lovecraft fan, and so I got a kick out of reading this sort of pulp adventure series. You might like it.
I'd really like to check out some of the titles from Dynamite--especially since they brought back Lee Falk's The Phantom.

Im Not Musical
Dont get me wrong - I love music. I very much appreciate people who are musical. I wish more than anything else in the world that I could sing I would love to be able to carry a tune (this doesnt stop me from singing loudly in my car).
I first discovered my lack of musical talent in grade five.

Bringing the Crazy
Ive been thinking a lot about grade 6 teachers lately.
My grade 6 teacher was crazy no seriously. Crazy with a capital C!
Lets call her Mrs. B. Kids in grade 5 knew about Mrs. B and didnt want to be in her class. This is more impressive when you realize that we changed school between grades 5 and 6 so we...
